Product Description

CNHYBOND945 Tape primer(halogen-free & low odor) can be used to promote adhesion of double side adhesive(such as 3M VHB, 3M9080, 3M9448, Japan 5000NS, SONY T4000, T4720, TESE4940 etc.) to surfaces such polypropylene, EPDM,TPU,ABS,PET/PBT blends, concrete, wood, glass, metal and painted metal surfaces. It successfully replace 3MPT896, 3MAP111, 3MAP115, 3M K-500, 3M K-520, 3M 4298UV, 3M 94,3M4298. It  is used for solar film , windows film, Auto foil, 3D Carbon Film, 3D Carbon fiber sticker vinyl film, chrome Trim, Rain or shine gear, Car Trim Strip, Soft PVC Decorative Line, EPDM seal strip, EPDM seal tape(strip), Rubber seal for car truck door and window.

945 primer can be used to promote adhesion of Car Wrapping Vinyls to surfaces such as edges and deep recesses where usually you might see lifting of the Vinyls.

Application Techniques

Surface preparation:

The bonding surface must be relatively clean and dry.Contaminated surfaces should be cleaned with a Isopropy, or Alcohol, acetone,Alcohol, A clean lint-free cloth should be used.

Application:Shake CNHYBOND 945 primer well before using:

     Apply a thin uniform coating to the bonding surface using the minimum amount that will fully coat the surface, allow cnhybond 945 primer to dry thoroughly before applying tape. This is usually accomplished in 3-5 minutes at room temperature, Be sure the primed surface remains free from contaminants prior to applying the tape. Porous surfaces may require 2 application of CNHYBOND 945 primer for uniform coverage and good adhesion..

     Allow first application of primer  to dry before applying the second coat, CNHYBOND primer 945 may be applied with brush or swab, It can also be applied with a pressurized flow gun, knurled roller or other similar type of application equipment

Clean up:

Cnhybond 945 primer can be removed with isopropyl alcohol,Vigorous scrubbing.

Shelf life
 1. 12 month s from date of manufacture when stored in the original container at 15-27℃

2. Keep cnhybond tape 945 primer in the original container

3. Keep original container tightly sealed to avoid solvent evaporation

2.Application: Shake CNHYBOND 944 primer well before using:

(1).Apply a thin uniform coating to the bonding surface using the minimum amount that will fully coat the surface, allow cnhybond 944 primer to dry thoroughly before applying tape. This is usually accomplished in 5 minutes at room temperature, Be sure the primed surface remains free from contaminants prior to applying the tape. Porous surfaces may require 2 application of CNHYBOND 944 primer for uniform coverage and good adhesion..

(3).Drying Time

Drying time generally depends on the temperature, humidity,thickness of coating.
Normal drying time:1 minute-1 hour  
The best drying time:10-30minutes(temperature:23℃, moisture65%) 

Keep coating surface clean while operating

(4).Stick double sided tapes
Stick double sided tapes to the surface of coating, and press it strongly.

Cnhybond945 primer developed from our company is a kind of halogen-free clear light brown liquid with low odor. It can be used to promote adhesion of double sided adhesive to surfaces such EPDM, TPU, PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, PET/PBT blends, concrete, wood, glass, metal and painted metal surfaces, especially with Acrylic Foam(VHB) tapes, the bonding effect will be better. It is an equivalent to 3M PT896 Primer.

Cnhybond945 primer developed from our company is a kind of halogen-free clear light brown liquid with low odor, and it is a an adhesion promoter for use in conjunction with Architectural finishes. With VHB Tapes used exclusively for structural glazing in Brazil and other parts of South America, our primer 945 also is applied in structural glass. It can be used to improve adhesion of Structural Glazing Tape to metal frames especially when the frame has been overcoated with paint or polyvinylidene fluoride PVDF based paints.It can achieve high bond strength of the tape to a metal frame or reflective coated glass. It is an alternative to 3M AP115 Primer.
